Introducing Amy, our Senior Stylist and visionary Salon Owner. Amy embarked on her entrepreneurial journey in 2009 when she established FM Hair Studio in Chicago's historical Fulton Market district. In 2020, she followed her heart's calling and relocated the salon to her cherished neighborhood of Avondale.

The new space, meticulously crafted by Amy, serves as a sanctuary where both men and women can escape, unwind, and luxuriate in individualized attention. Ensuring her clients' utmost satisfaction, Amy merges her 18+ years of industry experience with a commitment to continuous education. Specializing in lived-in balayage, tape-in extensions, Brazilian Blowout treatments, and personalized haircuts.

When she is not at the salon, Amy embraces her loving role as the fun-loving aunt, relishing in time spent with her adoring nephews and nieces. An adventurous spirit, she delights in exploring new destinations, savoring culinary delights at local eateries, and honing her culinary skills at home. And, of course, her lovable pup Belicito receives her undivided attention and affection, completing her world of love and joy.

LEAD STYLIST & SALON MANAGER

Jose graduated Paul Mitchell the School of Chicago in 2015 having been inspired to style hair by the effortless, beachy, tousled hair found on runways and in magazines.

After graduation, he became an expert in beautiful blowouts/styling and truly believes that a good blow-dry is the cherry on top of everything. Creative, talented, and passionate about his work, he has built a career as a successful hairstylist built on keeping up with trends and continuous education.

He currently specializes in blowouts, hair color, balayage, women’s haircut and brazilian blowouts.

Jose brings a passion for fashion, the pulse of our neighborhood, and a signature vibe to the FM family.

HAIR STYLIST & COSMETOLOGY EDUCATOR

A proud graduate of Tricoci University, Kimberly brings over six years of experience in the hair industry. She specializes in lived-in balayage, bright blondes, and a wide range of haircut styles. Her passion for hair led her to return to school to earn her cosmetology instructor license, allowing her to share her knowledge and give back to the beauty community through education.

Kimberly’s top priority is making sure every client leaves her chair feeling confident and in love with their hair. Known for her easygoing, friendly nature, she creates a welcoming space where laughter is always part of the experience—if you enjoy a good joke while getting pampered, Kimberly is your girl!

Outside the salon, Kimberly enjoys spending time at the park with her dog, trying new restaurants, and experimenting with baking and cooking. Fun fact: she’d choose a road trip over a flight any day!

JUNIOR HAIR STYLIST

My name is Kiaralyn, but you can call me Kiki. I'm thrilled to be the newest member of the FM team as a passionate and creative hairstylist. With over four years of professional experience, I'm dedicated to transforming hair and boosting confidence.

A proud graduate of Tricoci University, I specialize in precision cuts, color services, blonding, and modern styling techniques. I seek to help every client find their signature look, whether that's a bold new style or a subtle refresh. Each appointment is an opportunity for me to bring a personalized touch and ensure you feel seen, heard, and absolutely beautiful inside and out.

Outside the salon, I indulge my adventurous side by trying new restaurants and experimenting in the kitchen. I love spending time outdoors, taking nature walks, and traveling whenever I can. Life's too short not to laugh, explore, and have the occasional kitchen dance party!

SALON ASSISTANT

Jayla is a passionate and dedicated Apprentice Assistant, currently honing her skills at Paul Mitchell the School. Her love for hair, combined with a strong passion for lashes, inspired her to pursue a future in cosmetology. 

At our salon, Jayla plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and staff. She assists stylists with shampooing, toning, and blowouts while efficiently managing our front desk operations. Jayla is responsible for booking appointments, assisting with client check-outs, and maintaining the smooth operation of the salon. Her commitment to excellence and enthusiasm for the beauty industry make her an invaluable member of our team.

Introducing Belicito, affectionately known as Cito, the heart and soul of our salon! With a charming personality and irresistibly fluffy fur, Cito has stolen the hearts of both our staff and clients. As the dedicated salon greeter, he makes every visit a delight from the moment you step through our doors.

Belicito's mission is simple: to bring joy, laughter, and a touch of magic to everyone he meets. Whether you’re here for a quick trim or a full makeover, Cito ensures your visit feels like a home-away-from-home experience.
